Christmas in Excelsior

Background
The International Lions Club organized the first-ever Christmas Market in Excelsior as a major community initiative. It aimed at bringing residents and visitors together for the holiday season with an anticipated attendance of 50,000 people.
The Challenge
With such a significant influx of visitors to a new event layout, clarity and navigation were critical safety concerns. Attendees needed to intuitively find specific vendor zones, food areas, and restrooms.
The Solution
I volunteered to design a comprehensive area map that prioritized readability and functional navigation. The design clearly highlighted efficient walking routes, distinct vendor zones, and key landmarks optimized for print.
The Result
The map became a central piece of the visitor experience. It was distributed in printed pamphlets to the estimated audience of 50,000, successfully directing foot traffic and reducing bottlenecks.
